Hey all,
We are currently sitting in Tamale after having a "beef burger" for lunch. We are on our way to an orphanage that is sure to leave a mark on the hearts of our kids. We will be staying with the Catholic Bishop tonight at the PeaceCenter in Damango for all of you that are following along at home!
The past few days have been amazing to say the least. We started out on Friday with a VBS that would blow you away. We were told to prepare for 300 kids, I decided to prepare for 600 and we were overwhelmed with over 1000. It was amazing to watch our team dive in and not be intimidated at all. You should see a game of "duck duck goose" with over 500 children, you litterally run over a half of a mile just to get around the circle. Great times in the heat I might add.
Saturday we were able to rest a bit, as all we did for ministry was go to the market and perform our drama in the blistering heat. It was a hot time, but the team got some time to lay around and recover.
Yesterday we took our drama around to five different churches ministering to over a 700 people and the responce and the prayer time was precious. Then we show the "Indescribable video" to the village with about 500 people present it was great to see their responce to it.
Health has been fairly good, we have laid a couple of people down for a half of a day due to heat exaustion, but nothing that has us worried. We are tired, sweaty, and ready to see electricity again in a few days.
Also we threw a b-day party last night for Tammy and Cameron that was one I am sure they will remember for a long time. They can tell you the details when they get home. Thanks for you prayers and support, we know it is coming all the time. I hope to post again Wednesday, but I am not sure.

Hey team! It is great to read about your trip and I am praying for a life changing time for the team and those they are touching.
Happy birthday Cameron! Happy Birthday Tammy! I saw Bob yesterday at church and he was well but missing his girls I could tell. He said the house is quiet with just he and Lucas there.
Becca, I miss you! I am so glad you are there sharing your love with all those little ones, can't wait to hear all about it.
My Torp friends, I miss you... church was not the same without our visit, I did get to say "hey" to Dono though! I am having him try to convince Alexis and Aidan to sing with the kiddos on Mother's Day in May!
Well, this is WAY too long already so I will shout out to everyone else next time.... loves to all! Oh, and Pastor, I stopped in for lunch last week and it was quiet in the office... but they were all there working away! Missed you and Tams though...

Clark:
Favor has truly surrounded you as a shield. He has gone before and He is your rear guard. These testimonies are excellent and I know they only scratch the surface of how awesome God has been in Bamboi and in and through each member of the team.
Thank you for providing this opportunity to my family. I am extremely excited to see all that the Lord has done in and through my "girls."
Dustie/Vanessa: We are so proud of you! Alexis and Aidan are doing very well. The Leadership Clinic went well. Aidan helped me with the Cope's move. Ginger had us over to the restaurant.
You would have loved Pastor Andrew's message on the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15. I am inviting your mom and Raul to the movie at church next week. Tonight is Horse Bowl and tomorrow is the general meeting.
Please let Pastor know that I have got his TPI small group covered and we'll be covering unit 15. Today and tomorrow I am working and Wednesday morning early we head east. Please take as many pictures as you can of the Slave castle.
Tammy, your husband and son are doing well. Lucas did say it was weird because of how quiet it was.
Pastor, Tina is doing well though she said yesterday was the day she officially started missing you and Cameron "really bad" because she saw a picture of you guys at the youth table. She's doing well and the service went well. Andrew had the whole congregation break into groups of 3-5 and pray for the lost. Next week should see a harvest.
We love you all...Dustie, Vanessa, Clark, Dina, Pastor, Cameron, Holly, Ron, Ashley, Curtis, Angela, Tammy, Monica, and Becca!
Dono, Alexis, and Aidan
It is so exciting to read your post Clark. A thousand kids for VBS, and I thought having 150 was a lot of kids. I know the work and energy you are putting into VBS (but not that kind of heat) I pray for strength, endurance and protection for all of you. I'm also praying for all of those children you have ministered to.
Angela, the house is quiet we all miss you, Grandma sends you her love and lots of prayers. She wondered if you have gotten warm enough yet. Little Nichole was kind of lost without you yesterday, she was out numbered with Josh & Aaron. Chloe said to tell you "Hi" too.
I want to share my devotional verse this morning, Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" Take care of one another, God has great things in store for each of you again this week.
Well Sweetie, time for me to head to work and school. I love you and am praying for the team.
Mom/Diane
Ghana Team: Before you know it you will be back in the U.S. Take advantage of every moment. I pray you are greeting each day with a prayer to the Lord to show you how He would use you that day. I'm so proud of all of you, and can't wait to hear all the wonderful testimonies on April 20th. God is doing something wonderful in our church, and that day will be just as integral in His work in our community.
Becca, thanks for all the notes and reminders. I sleep in the middle of the bed, and listen to Project 86 whenever I want. I miss you.
I can't wait to find out what you all were doing each day at 3:30pm, as I can't seem to sleep past 7:30am no matter what time I go to sleep I keep getting up at that time. I figure something must be going on over there in Ghana.
Blessings on you all. -Philip
Hi Dina and Clark,
I have been praying for the both of you, and your Team, in regards to the heat, health, strength, and your finances. It has been cold and rainy here. VBS sounded just fantastic! Praise God! He is truly AWESOME AND ALMIGHTY!
Clark's Mom replied to an email I sent her and told me that his Dad, and Wally are here in Seattle - arrived this afternoon - to check out the ship. Wally is going to Barry's for the night. We invited Stan to stay here but he is going to spend the night at the Pratt's to try to talk them into returning to Friend Ships. They head back to Lake Charles Tuesday evening. They are happy and healthy. :):)
I am headed to the ocean in the morning, but will continue to keep you in my prayers. How was the orphanage visit? How many are coming home with you guys? I have prayed many prayers for those children.
May God continue to Bless your Team Abundantly! My prayers are for Miracles to Abound everywhere you go? Did you get to see your elephant herd yet, Clark? I love you both very, very much. I am so proud of you too for your love and sacrifice for God, your love for the Ghana people, your love for each other - you are both incredible!! I also MISS you both so much and can hardly wait for you to get home.
Love and hugs to you both,
Mommy

Hey we went to the "Opera" sat morning at the Auburn Theater and seen Elena live from the "Met" in NY...Sandy found Elena right away...it took me a bit longer,of course Daric' found her right away too! (She was part of the crowd this time.)
I'll give you a hint on Aarons choice of instrument, I'm teaching him....Hmmmmmmmmmmmm (What does Aunt Deb play???????)
Dar is out playing volleyball tonight, he say's Hi!!! Elena say's Hi too!! She comes home for the summer May 20th. You better start running for those Tri-Athlons. (Uncle Donnie is moaning already!!)
Okay chick-a-dee, we love you bunches and miss you tons.
We are praying for all of you, God has ordered your steps and prepared hearts to hear the message of God's amazing love. Stay strong in him, embrace each moment and each "lamb" he places in your pathway. We pray financial blessing's, spiritual, and physical blessings too! Trust God to do the IMPOSSIBLE! All THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD (Pastor Rick Ross teaches that ALL in the Bible means, are you ready......listen now don't miss this.....ALL!) I will alway's remember that from sermons at Renton A/G so simple, yet we get tripped up on it!
Grandma is praying for you and the team, close your eyes Ang and picture yourself standing by her door and I bet you could almost hear her praying for all of you!
We Love You Angie,
Aunt Deb and the family
I enjoy the folks on here that have shared that they have a bit of a struggle with the message sending thing....so have I! Somewhere is a few more of these little thoughts of love for you...Oh Well! Love You Angie
Reminder to Dina Anne,
Remember to bring home some sand from Cape Coast, please.
Thanks, Sweetie!
Love and hugs,
Mommy
Hi Angela
One more week...my heart would be starting to break right about now knowing that my time in Africa is drawing to a close. Put a few tissue in your pocket before you head to the airport, there might be some tears.
A pastor once preached a sermon about tears, and what the scientific facts are, I have no clue, but he said if you could bottle your tears, it would only take one teaspoon of tears to clear a polluted stream. Thats powerful. Point being, tears are purifying, so don't be afraid to let um run...
Take care...continue having fun and giving your all as you minister to the Ghanaian people.
Your in my thoughts and prayers
Linda Lou
Good Morning Angela,
Stopped in as Safeway yesterday: The place is still standing and you are missed. Marie, Gracie, Kelli, Rachel (and two guys that I don't know their names) all said to tell you Hi.
Here is another clue on what instrument Aaron is learning to play. He will be borrowing Shannon's __________. Figure it out yet?
Keep your eyes on Jesus, keep your focus on him, he has your backs.I keep praying that God will supply your every need and that you will recognize his hand at work in all the little things.
Well, time to head out and start my day. Angela I love you and miss you bunches.
Mom
It's AMAZING what God is doing through you all. I am so glad to hear the positive response by the children. I am praying with you all that the journey they are starting on will remain strong until Christ's return. It must be so hard to love them and then have to go on to the next stop. Take care of each other. Blessings from Stephanie and Jennifer as well.
Tracy
WOW!Sounds Like God is doing amazing things guys.
All the youth leaders have gotten together and have prayed for you guys for the last 7 days.
We are behind you, keep going and enjoy all that God is doing...
AND DRINK WATER! :)
Peace

Good morning team,
I want to share this mornings verse with you. This is from The Message,"Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go: he's the one who will keep you on track" Proverbs 3:5 Then the devotional went on to say that God has the plan for your day already laid out, he knows all about the challenges you might face all he asks of you is that you trust him in everything. This verse has popped into my head so many times as I've prayed for you. God called you to Ghana, and he has a special plan for each of you while there. I look forward to hearing all the details of your adventure.
Angela, here is another clue, Linda Lou can play this too. Aaron and I saw Ashley yesterday she asked about your trip, said to tell you "hi" and that you'll have to bring your pictures in to show her and Candice when you get home. Gandalf is still looking everywhere for you.
We all love you and miss you bunches. Hope you are "making" lots of photo's. Aaron wants to know if you found him a drum.
Take care of one another,
Mom/Diane
Team,
I just spoke with Steve. Thank you for taking such good care of Cameron. It is hard for me not to be there but I know he's is God's hands as well as good hands. Steve bragged about each one of you! I can't wait to hear all the stories. Thank you for praying for Cameron for a quick healing!!
Love to all, Tina
Hi Angie, Hey we have sunshine today, I guess rain is coming but we must live in the moment!
I just got done reading a years worth of blog entries from Jeanines blog thingy! I find it amazing that you are both in the same area doing mission work for God's kingdom. I remember as a kid watching my Mom and all those W.M.ers working so hard to prepare and send things to the mission field. Who would of thougt that our family would actually go to the mission field.
We are praying for you Angela that as you are there you will hear Gods voice through the hearts of so many around you. You are all amazing in your willingness to Go and Preach the Gospel. Stay focused, be bold as I am sure all of you are.
I'm sure in many way's saturday can't come fast enough. But in so many other way's it must feel like it is coming much too soon. We will pray as you say your good-byes, and know that this is just the beginning for many of you who now have found your calling. Your life has been touched by something most will never feel. Let it make a difference in you to to share in your world.
You can "SHAKE YOUR NATION" for God.
Love you Angie,
Aunt Deb and Family
Another Aaron hint: It comes in various sizes....Hmmmmmmm
This it from Kurtis' mom. She was having trouble with the blog, so she sent it to me. I just copied this email---
I am a little frustrated with the whole blog thing. I
was able to send one message to Kurtis and have tried
unsuccessfully to send 3 others. I am wondering if
you could send him a little message for me when you
write to Ashley next? I don't want him to think that
we don't care about him or haven't taken the time to
write.
Just let him know that we love him and continue to
pray for him and the team. Also, that I am sorry I am
so computer illiterate!
Thank you in advance! Hard to believe that they will
be home in just 3 more days!
Gail
Sweetheart/Vanessa:
We miss you! Things are going very well. We'll have the house set up so you both can rest and relax. You both have fresh linens and the only laundry to do will be your clothes from Africa.
We'll bring sweatshirts to the airport as it has refused to warm up or dry out.
Also, how about some protein Red Robin style after we get your luggage and help load the van? I think today we all started realizing how much we miss you combined with how quickly you'll be home.
We love you both so very much and we are very excited and proud of your efforts. Alexis is such a fine helper and Aidan has been a trooper.
Love Dono, Alexis, and Aidan
PS: Becca, Philip and I have not been able to get together, but we have stayed in contact regularly by phone. He is doing well and staying busy. By the sounds of it, he'll have multiple job offers to consider by the time you return.
Good morning Angela,
Aaron and I stopped in as Safeway yesterday, Kim and Cee send you warm greetings and laughter. Those two have been making plans for something special when you return.
Jen is coming down today, she has been missing everyone. Tomorrow she is planning to see Christina and baby Jacob.
Have you figured out Aaron's instrument yet?
Don't forget to make lots of pictures.
Andrew mentioned Cameron at youth group last night, we are praying for his speedy recovery. You are all in our prayers.
Angela we love you and miss you,
Mom, Aaron and Gandalf :-)
