Air Conditioning!!!!!

We have stumbled out of bush and have returned to Accra for some much needed R&R. Thank you all for your comments, especially from my mother-in-law letting me know that my dad is going to be in town when I get back, that made my day!

Today we went on a jungle hike to the top of the canopy on suspension bridges that will produce some great photos. By the way between the team we currently have over 4000 pictures taken so don't feel like you will miss anything. After the hike we went to slave castle where the slave trade originated and had a very sombering history lesson. I think it was good for the team to learn but I know it made us all think a little about things.

Yesterday we basically just drove south all day! As you could see from Pastor Tina's post we did have our first medical issue with Cameron, but we are praising God that he recovered so quickly. The diagnosis was Meningitous (I have no idea if that was spelled right) but Praise God he has recovered quicker than the doctors said he would and I can't brag enough about how much of a stud he was going through it. Even though he was misrable he never gave up and the whole time we was singing praise songs and calling out to God. I was so impressed with him, Pastor Tina you should be very proud of your little man!

I am so dilerious with sleep deprevation that I can not really think of all the things that I need to post right now. Just know that God has moved in a big way in Ghana, but in a much bigger way in our team. Oh yeah I almost forgot the orphanage trip. I will not get in to all the details, because I think you should hear them from your loved ones, but I will say that I watched as people had something go on in there hearts that will change them for the rest of their lives. Dono you almost ended up with a Ghanian daughter and until I stepped in I almost got a son!

God has been so good to us and we can not wait to share about our trip at missions sunday on the 20th. The testimonies and the stories are going to blow you mind. We will be announcing the dates for next year then also, and I would encourage you all to think about letting God do something in you that will leave its mark for the rest of your life!

Thanks for you prayers, we fly out tomorrow and will be home on Saturday! Mom get the steaks ready were coming home!

Hey all,

We are currently sitting in Tamale after having a "beef burger" for lunch. We are on our way to an orphanage that is sure to leave a mark on the hearts of our kids. We will be staying with the Catholic Bishop tonight at the PeaceCenter in Damango for all of you that are following along at home!

The past few days have been amazing to say the least. We started out on Friday with a VBS that would blow you away. We were told to prepare for 300 kids, I decided to prepare for 600 and we were overwhelmed with over 1000. It was amazing to watch our team dive in and not be intimidated at all. You should see a game of "duck duck goose" with over 500 children, you litterally run over a half of a mile just to get around the circle. Great times in the heat I might add.

Saturday we were able to rest a bit, as all we did for ministry was go to the market and perform our drama in the blistering heat. It was a hot time, but the team got some time to lay around and recover.

Yesterday we took our drama around to five different churches ministering to over a 700 people and the responce and the prayer time was precious. Then we show the "Indescribable video" to the village with about 500 people present it was great to see their responce to it.

Health has been fairly good, we have laid a couple of people down for a half of a day due to heat exaustion, but nothing that has us worried. We are tired, sweaty, and ready to see electricity again in a few days.

Also we threw a b-day party last night for Tammy and Cameron that was one I am sure they will remember for a long time. They can tell you the details when they get home. Thanks for you prayers and support, we know it is coming all the time. I hope to post again Wednesday, but I am not sure.

Hey Hey all I have escaped the bush

One more time with this post. The internet randomly disappears around here so I hope to make it this time. Thank you all for your prayers and support is working as you will read soon. We are currently spending our third day in Bamboi, which if I can choose a word to discribe it I would go with HOT.

The kids are all doing great though I have to say I am more than impressed. Right now they are putting on a VBS for about 600 children and believe me they are doing a great job. Last night we went to Jama and minstered to about 500 people with about 400 of them being children. When Steve gave the alter call about 300 hands went up. It was awesome, our drama is the best idea we have come up with in a long time, it communicates the gospel so well. The chief of Jama said afterward that this was the first time someone from the outside has come into the village and preached in a way that people could understand. It was a very powerful night. Ron was really feeling sick in his stomach, but he still did his part in the drama anyways, and after that when Steve called for salvation, he said a warmth come over him, and no it was on top of the warmth coming over all of us, and he was instantly healed.

Our schedule has been rearranged twice already but it is all right because TIA. This is Africa. We went Hippo hunting, with cameras, last night but failed. Please pray that we get to see great animals soon, it would mean so much for the kids.

I have been instructed to post specifically to Philip that if you don't post a comment for your wife by the next time I log on, she is going to except the marriage purposal that she recieved in the village yesterday, so buddy don't say I didn't warn you!

It looks like I will not find the internet again until Monday sometime, but who knows as fast as things change around here it could happen sooner. Again thank you for your support and be praying for God's word to spread like an African wildfire, that is the prayer of our cheif. Oh that reminds me, you are going to love to hear the stories about the welcoming ceromony they had for us Wednesday night, it was unforgetable.

Take care until next time!

We have arrived safely and soudly

Hello everyone,

We are here and safe and sound after our first day in country. We had a great trip over with no complications. As a matter of fact we were a little concerned with our connection in Minniapolis which was cut to 20 minutes after our flight was a little late. The airport there is big and they had us switching terminals, which had me not feeling to good. The great thing was Northwest had those little go cars that you have to dodge at the airport waiting for all of us. We were rushed off the plane on the carts and went cruising through the airport. I am now convinced that you do not have to have a drivers liscense to hold that job! We made it, and the bigger miracle was our bags even made it.

We arrived late last night and got to our hotel ready for bed I promise you. The total travel time from door to door was just under 30 hours.

Today the kids got to tour the city of Accra and in that we went the National Museum where they learned alot about the history and the culture. They are all excited and can't wait to hit the road in the morning (5am departure) for the drive to Bamboi. I have been informed that the internet in Bamboi has not been working for some time so I am not sure the next time I will be able to post. I hope it will not be more than two days, but we will see.

Thank you all for you comments I will be reading them to the team tonight in our team meeting. Please continue to pray for us and one specific thing to pray is that our money will be multiplied while we are here. The prices are quite a bit higher than even last November when I was here. Ain't inflation great?

Until next time be blessed, cause we sure are!!!!!!!
